A Beginner’s Guide to David Thaxton
I was just going to send this via fanmail to countermeasures but I thought it might interest some of the rest of you too? I don’t know. It’s just a list of various youtube videos and audios. I also just thought it would be easier to make a post. I got a little carried away but what can you do:
David Thaxton talking about Enjolras and Les Misérables.
‘Back then, when you said to me: Right, when you grow up, you can do one role in one show for one night, what would it be? Any show ever? I would say: Enjolras!’
‘You don’t have to make up a name - you’ve got a name! And there’s a whole bloody page on each character! You know, you can… you can be Joly with hypochondria and you can be Jean Prouvaire with his flowers. And… it’s all there for you!’
Elena Roger and David Thaxton in Passion (2010)
Anonymous asked: Can we have another Passion write-up, pretty please??
Answered on my personal account, thanks for sending this in nonetheless!
Anonymous asked: Not really a question, but felt like sharing with someone who might appreciated this: was listening to my Les Mis bootleg from the 24th Birthday show and thinking about how despite seeing the show soooo many times, every time I heard David Thaxton sing "Lamarque is Dead" I'd just end up sitting there, thinking "just.. "wow!" and just totally buy into the moment. I know he has moved on to bigger and better things but I so miss his Enjolras and that cast as a whole. The nade the show so *real*
Thank you so, so much for sending this in!
